Hanson came to us with an urgent need to design and construct an enclosure for a new product line of large diameter, precast concrete pipe for a municipal tunnel project in Seattle. Working on a team-build basis with a local general contractor, Castino Architecture designed and provided the pre-engineered metal building system, including provisions for several 10-ton overhead bridge cranes, material conveyance systems, and owner-supplied manufacturing equipment.

A major challenge on this fast-track project, was the coordination of the intricate and precise geometry for the placement of the equipment, bracing locations, crane loading & clearances, as well as electrical systems design.
