Larson Volkswagen is a full-service auto dealership, with sales, service and detailing functions. Our job was to design and detail the structural systems for roof and wall support, detail finish materials, coordinate life safety and ADA compatibility, and assemble the construction documents for permitting and construction, within a very short schedule. The display/retail/office portions of the building were designed with conventional steel framing, EIFS Dry-Vit & glass storefront wall materials, and a single-ply roof.

We chose to frame the service area with a metal building system, with clear-span rigid frames and a gabled standing-seam roof, for ease of construction and maximum economy. The exterior walls are insulated metal composite panels, with a textured finish to blend with the EIFS walls of the retail areas.
