This two-story building was designed to house both corporate offices and vehicle maintenance shop spaces for a local underground utilities contractor. The client's desire was to maximize day lighting into all interior spaces, and to keep electrical & mechanical systems and devices fully exposed for a clean, industrial aesthetic appearance.

The basic structure utilizes a pre-engineered systems approach to the roof framing, with open-web steel trusses & columns, together with metal decking, insulation and roofing. Shop walls are concrete tilt-up. Exterior glazing for the office is expressed with continuous bands of low-E, tinted glass. All stairways & handrails are steel as well.
